The Teachers

Lilian Belli

Residential Centre Manager & Teacher

I've been teaching English since completing my TEFL qualification in Prague in 2005. Since then, I have taught adults and children in different countries around the world and I’m very happy to say that I love my job! One of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had was spending a year in a tiny village in Peru where I worked as a volunteer in a boarding school teaching English to some of the poorest (and most wonderful) children in the surrounding villages.

Languages have always been my passion. I studied French at university and learnt Spanish and Italian during my time spent living and travelling in South America, Spain and Italy. I recently completed my TESOL Diploma and am always searching for new ways to improve my teaching and develop my understanding of how languages are learned. In class, I love getting my students to play games…and master their pronunciation!

Hobbies & interests: I enjoy walking, cycling, yoga, dance and meditation (when I’m feeling disciplined!) I read a lot and love watching films. I also like going to hear live music and having a jam every now and again. And finally…my ultimate weakness…I love board games!
